Zahlheimer
Ingo Zahlheimer is a German wildlife and conservation photographer from Bavaria. Raised close to nature and inspired by a lifelong passion for wildlife, he has been photographing natural landscapes and animals since childhood. His work focuses on authentic stories from wild places, with a particular interest in conservation, rewilding, and the relationship between people and nature.
He holds a degree in Geography and combines scientific understanding with a creative and artistic approach to photography. His work is shaped by field experience in European protected areas, including the Abruzzo National Park in Italy, where he developed a deeper sensitivity for wild ecosystems and their hidden connections.
Ingo's photography has been featured in exhibitions, publications, and presentations dedicated to wildlife conservation and natural heritage, and has received recognition in international photography competitions such as Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
During this journey through India, Ingo will document wildlife, landscapes, and local cultures, sharing visual stories that highlight the country's extraordinary natural diversity.

The Jungle Book

Journey into the ancient, untamed highlands of Satpura National Park on an immersive 10-day wilderness expedition running from February 21st to March 2nd, 2027. Led by wildlife photographer and naturalist Ingo Zahlheimer, this journey offers a rare chance to experience one of Central India's most untouched sanctuaries away from typical safari crowds.
Based at the eco-friendly Forsyth Lodge, you will track Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and gaur across a diverse landscape of sandstone peaks, deep ravines, and dense teak forests.
Beyond traditional 4x4 safaris, the itinerary includes peaceful river boat rides, guided buffer zone walks, night walks, and village photography excursions. Evenings are spent sharing stories and reviewing images together, creating a well-rounded experience focused on wildlife, visual storytelling, and deep connection with nature.
