Tracking Mountain Ghosts
20th March – 3rd April, 2027
This 15-day journey takes us deep into Ladakh's high-altitude, stark beauty for an incredible wildlife tracking experience. After flying into Leh to acclimate, you'll explore the banks of the Indus River and high mountain passes like Wari La, scanning the terrain for the Himalayan wolf, Eurasian lynx, and rare riverine birdlife.
From there, you will move out into the remote mountain villages of Ulley and Mangyu, staying at the Snow Leopard Lodge. Guided by expert local spotters and naturalists, you'll spend your days tracking the elusive snow leopard alongside Himalayan ibex, blue sheep, and golden eagles across frozen valleys and rugged ridgelines.
Scheduled for March 20 – April 3, 2027, the itinerary spans New Delhi, Leh, Ulley, and Mangyu, with stays at Lemon Tree Aerocity in Delhi, The Grand Dragon Ladakh in Leh, and Snow Leopard Lodge in Ulley and Mangyu. Primary target species include the Snow Leopard, Himalayan Wolf, Eurasian Lynx, Himalayan Ibex, Blue Sheep, and Golden Eagle.
